Thanking him for his letter from the hands of Mr. Smith, acknowledging the seriousness of his honorable and flattering intentions regarding her, saying she is troubled by the dissatisfaction of his father, adding that her family, although independent, will insist that she not live far from her, and saying that, should his wish be fulfilled, there are other points to arrange with her family.
